I see right through to you ❤️

I have *light sensitivity* (as well as sun). It’s really challenging living in a world where daytime is when the majority of humanity is *awake*. I love working the graveyard shift. My sleeping habits are not of the norm because my circadian rhythm is *nocturnal* akin to Bats. Joel and I, operated on similar sleep schedules thats why I genuinely enjoyed caring for him albeit at times extremely challenging as we had *our moments* just like anyone else who is engaged in a genuine, loving and passionate relationship. We fought and we apologized. We never considered ourselves to be *fragile* like certain family members labeled us as. I’m not a victim to my circumstances and neither was he. I will never consider Joel a victim of the Holocaust. He was a survivor and Champion in every possible way you can imagine. He would always find a way no matter the hardship. When the love of his life- Grandma passed, ive never seen him so low. It was beyond excruciating to witness. When we spoke on the phone, after the funeral, I knew we were in for some really difficult days ahead. I will never forget that phone call for as long as I live. I will never ever forget the day I said *I love you* to him on his deathbed, not knowing that would be my final time expressing my most genuine sentiment to him. I will never *move on*. I will never ever be the same *chancheenu”. Forever, emotionally dismantled. 💔

These were just shipped to my office by my loving and generous spouse😘. They are *Payne* prescription bifocals. Style: Cat-Gatspy.

Happy Feasting!

Just us dis week! We feasting on duck roast with homemade gravy. Stir fry-mushrooms and onions. Rice pilaf. Asparagus with garlic, salt and oil. Mashed potatoes+ country crock. 😋 . And as per special request: Bacon Ranch pasta salad. Pastries for dessert. We usually devour one to our liking 👍 😀 We are closing out the intimate evening with a cozy film and Stovetop Cajun popped 🍿 (my dear childhood friend’s recipe) on the couch. We haven’t decided which one yet, most likely a Kobe Bryant documentary i discovered on YouTube- my spouse loves basketball 😀.

Pine-Soul

Joel’s favorite tree was *Pine*. So much so that he kept a plastic one in the elegant dining room at 744. It was beautiful and resembled a Christmas tree. This year we purchased an enormous one. My partner and I love a good gift exchange and it only gets more interesting over time. We love attending our workplace Holiday parties and enjoy partaking in secret Santa! 🙊

We love coming to work 😇

Love Thy Neighbor ❤️ 💕

*Connie* was a dear friend of the family. She used to visit Grandma’s house on Sundays after she attended Church. She was the sweetest little thing. Petite and Grey. She was so warm in that senior-citizen-grandma-way. Joel would ask her weekly if she attended *Church* in his thick foreign Polish accent. He was always so gracious to every guest. As long as you respected Joel and were *in line* with your manners and habits, he revered you. That’s how it was around glass coffee table chatter at 744. He used to preach to me how you dont have to love everyone. You dont even have to like everyone. But you have to respect 🙏 🫡 💯 👏 everyone. I think the idf was extremely fortunate to have him on board. Its unfortunate just how dirty they did him

His *Princess* . He loved to treat me out 😀 Canters was his fave. He loved giving charity and encouraged me to dedicated alot of my life to philanthropic work. Its been quite the ride let me tell ya 😉 Chabad especially benefitted immensely from my grandparents generosity and they just kept comin and comin. They love *returning.* they encourge that verb daily! They love it. *Am yisrael Chai* folks. If anyone needs a good place to *leech* off of when youre famished, from war, illness, poverty ect, i encourage you to politely knock on your local chabad houses door. They seem to evoke an *open door policy* and are adept at fundraising. God 🙌

Color Codes and Empty Roads

Poetry Prompt: Color

It’s your fault.
You gifted him the colored coat.
Blue, matching our eyes.
*smize*
He’s at his demise.
In the purple Pit,
They spit and spit.
His teeth went from White
To Yellow.

Golden like
The token
You made him out to be.
A fantasy. Not reality.

Now he’s Brown
Looking like a clown.
He’s in the sun
Working with his Gun

The rain pours
He sleeps and Snores.
Outside and on the inside
Hes empty.
Abandoned and neglected
He seemed to have reflected
On what transpired

Shazam.

A Rainbow appears.
Cheers
He got it back.
It’s straight off the Rack.
It’s color coded.
He is now Blood Red.
And thankfully,
Not yet Dead.
