I think success looks different for everyone. Sometimes getting out of bed early is seen as success for me. Music helps alot. It gets me in *the zone* as Britney says. I try not to compare my life with others. We all are on different journeys with different purpose and time tables. I just try to learn from and enjoy the journey.

20 years and its going to be May I say, where does the exchanged love go When all else fades And our laughter is replaced by maids Where does our deep love go?
Rooftop chatter Brown lunch bags And witty banter 12 years together In a school system Preaching manners
Where does the love go When im stagnant in my thoughts But you all are physically absent Before tragedies, traumas and loss
“Its always there” He had told me “It doesnt disappear” As if that’s music to my ear
It’s out of touch I’m out of sync 20 years go by in a blink We were so full of joy Grandma had told me my poses were “coy”
I think I’m ready to embrace my next chapter Whatever will be I can no longer remain in this fantasy Where time stands still Before I got ill
Where does the love go? Was she a friend or foe I shake my head and answer: “I truly don’t know”
Shared birthdays and restaurant outings I can still hear our class chanting And today, the question does remain: Where does the love go Was it all in vain?
